2010 HINO 185 CLASS 5 (18,000 LBS GVW)

For a truck with superb maneuverability, excellent visibility and driver comfort, think of the Hino 185. Hino's 4.7 L, 4-cylinder, turbocharged diesel engine provides smooth and reliable power, developing 175 hp and 376 lbs. ft. of torque.

The 185 is equipped with standard 5-speed Eaton FS4205A manual transmission (201" wheelbase) and is also available with a 4-speed Aisin 450-43LE automatic transmission (169", 183" and 201" wheelbases). Trucks equipped with the Aisin automatic transmission also come equipped with standard alloy wheels. The 185 is also available with an optional Allison 1000RDS 6-speed automatic transmission. All transmissions have PTO capability. The 185 is available with optional rear air suspension.

Using ultra-low sulfur diesel fuel, Hino's new Diesel Particulate Reduction (DPR) system collects and periodically re-burns the soot that derives from diesel fuel combustion. This leading edge technology reduces soot exhaust by an amazing 90%! The Hino DPR technology has been proven effective and reliable here and in Japan. This system has made Hino a leader in environmentally friendly diesel engines.
